Your safety is important to us. Refresh your dive skills.

If you haven’t been diving for over a year, Dive Friends Bonaire requires that you refresh your dive skills and knowledge with a refresher course. The type of refresher we recommend is depending on your date of your last dive, certification level and total number of dives. If you haven’t been diving for more than 8 years, you need to do a full PADI Open Water course without the theory.

Don’t worry. It’s a fun, easy way to refresh your skills and complete the Bonaire Marine Park orientation and buoyancy check.

For safety reasons, you’ll need to fill in a Medical Statement to ensure that you are fit to dive. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions, you need to have a signed medical statement from a doctor prior to in-water training.

Discover Local Diving on Bonaire

If it’s your first dive in Bonaire, or if it’s been a while since you’ve been diving, our Discover Local Diving on Bonaire is a simple and fun way to refresh your skills and acquaint yourself with independent shore diving on Bonaire!

We’ll begin with a short theory review and an explanation of the basics of shore diving on Bonaire. Then we’ll give you the Bonaire Marine Park orientation and a detailed site briefing.

After that we will gear up and head into the water. In our confined water area, we will conduct the required Bonaire Marine Park buoyancy check and review a few skills before heading out for a guided dive on our beautiful house reef.
