What will you do?

• Lead epic dive adventures (shore, boat, dusk & night)
• Assist instructors in training new and experienced divers
• Welcome and check in guests, sell awesome gear & experiences, and provide our guests with advice concerning things like dive locations and Bonaire Marine Park
• Be a role model when it comes to safety and environmental standards and rules

What we are looking for?

• Certified PADI Divemaster
• Fluent English speaker (bonus if you speak more languages)
• Working experience as Divemaster and Boat captain is a big plus

Content Marketeer

Dive Friends Bonaire is looking for a creative and independent Content Marketeer to bring our social media channels to life and manage our online presence. We are looking for a new team member to help drive growth across organic and paid channels for our diving and retail operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based on beautiful Bonaire.

With 7 dive shops and 3 lifestyle retail stores, Dive Friends Bonaire has the biggest dive operation on Bonaire. Dive Friends Bonaire is a PADI 5 star IDC center and provides training from beginner to professional level. Our dive shops are open 7 days per week to provide a perfect experience for our guests.

Profile
In this role as a Content Marketeer you will be the beating heart of our external communication and organic & paid campaigns. You will work together closely with our Marketing Manager, internal team and our external partners to develop original and effective marketing campaigns.

You are the creative lead for all content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. From reels to stories, you manage the full content process, from ideas and creation to posting. You bring the underwater world to life and ensure our audience stays inspired, engaged, and informed.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Own and optimize the Dive Friends Bonaire content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok
• Create and edit (underwater) photo and video content for our online touchpoints
• Design social media posts, tradeshow flyers and posters for in-store promotions
• Manage platform metrics, performance reports, and content testing
• Copywriting that reflects the brand voice and campaign goals for social media captions, blogs and occasional press releases
• Support your colleagues from events with promotion and content creation. Events include our Quarterly Clean Ups (for over 10 years!) and our very own Avelo Experience
• Coordinate with dive staff and external content partners for content
• Implement social media strategy, engage with our community, and grow our channels
• Bring our IDC and Retail social accounts to life
• Manage and grow our email marketing program (Mailchimp), including automations, newsletters, and customer journeys

Key channels: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Website, Tripadvisor, Google.

What do we ask of you?

• Experienced scuba diver
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Proven experience as (content) marketeer. Ideally in tourism, lifestyle or diving industry
• Experience with Meta Business Suite and scheduling tools is a plus
• Hands on experience creating (preferably) underwater content
• A good eye for design and photography
• Experienced in Canva and/or (preferably) Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) is a plus
• Able to work independently and manage your own project and deadlines
• A team player who can collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Flexible, open-minded and comfortable working in a dynamic business

Planning Agent (US/NL)

With 7 different locations and 3 retail stores, Dive Friends Bonaire has the biggest dive operation on Bonaire. We have approximately 65 employees. Dive Friends Bonaire is a PADI 5 star IDC center. Divers are trained from beginner to professional level. We introduce guests to the most beautiful dive sites on Bonaire. Our dive shops are open 7 days per week to provide a perfect experience for our guests.  We are a retail dealer, importing and distributing merchandise for all Dive Friends shops and retail shops. In addition, we supply other dive centers with dive equipment and accessories on Bonaire and work closely with various on-island suppliers.

Dive Friends Bonaire is looking for a proactive, structured and improvement-oriented Planning agent to strengthen our team and help us evolve our planning and reservations processes.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our operations run efficiently by developing and maintaining staff and resource schedules, optimizing workflows, and collaborating closely with our Reservations team. You’ll bring fresh energy to how we plan, communicate, and operate, helping shape a more effective and future-ready way of working.

What will you do?

As our Planning Agent, you’ll oversee and continuously improve the planning and coordination of our dive operations, retail outlets, and support teams.

• Develop, implement, and adjust weekly and long-term staff schedules based on operational needs, reservations, and customer demand.
• Collaborate closely with the Reservations team to ensure planning aligns with bookings, guest volumes, and special events.
• Gain a full understanding of reservations processes to better anticipate operational needs and ensure seamless coordination between departments.
• Identify inefficiencies in current planning and reservation workflows, proposing and implementing improvements to make processes more structured, transparent, and efficient.
• Communicate schedules and updates clearly to managers and staff, ensuring everyone has the information they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Act as a bridge between operational teams and management, proactively addressing potential bottlenecks and suggesting practical solutions.
• Support the development of digital tools and reporting methods for planning and forecasting.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for an organized, forward-thinking, and confident professional who enjoys optimizing processes and bringing structure to a busy operation.

What do you bring or have:

• Proven knowledge of the diving industry and PADI standards Dive Master certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in planning, scheduling, or operations coordination experience in hospitality, diving, or tourism is a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust plans quickly when needed.
• A process improvement mindset you’re not afraid to question “how it’s always been done” and introduce better ways of working.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills enabling you to work effectively with the Reservations team and operational staff.
• Confidence to lead change and gain buy-in from experienced colleagues even when implementing new methods or technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning/scheduling tools.
• The Dutch or US nationality due to immigration processes we will not consider candidates with other nationalities, except if they are already living on Bonaire and have a valid work permit.

What does a typical day entail?

Your day starts by reviewing the latest reservations and schedules, aligning staffing levels and resources with guest numbers and operational priorities. You’ll communicate updates to team leads, coordinate with the Reservations department on any last-minute changes, and spend part of your day improving planning systems and documenting new procedures.

Dive Instructor

What will you do?

• Teaching a variety of PADI courses, from Bubblemaker and DSD’s to Divemaster.
• Leading guided dives for certified divers, ensuring both safety and fun
• Assisting with daily operations such as welcoming and checking in guests, issuing dive equipment, delivering orientation briefings, completing paperwork, recommending great dive sites, advising on the Bonaire Marine Park, and promoting exciting gear and experiences in our retail and dive offerings.

What are we looking for?

• Certified PADI OWSI with active teaching status
• Hospitality mindset
• Fluent English speaker (bonus if you speak more languages)
• Someone holding an active driver’s license
• Someone with the Dutch or U.S. nationality will have preference, due to visa and immigration challenges
