PADI Instructor Development Course Bonaire 2015

1 Course Director + 5 Instructor Candidates + 1 IDC Staff Instructor Candidate + 1 IDC Staff Instructor + 1 mascot = Tons of FUN (and lots of hard work in between)

Congratulations to 5 new PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors, and 1 IDC Staff Instructor who just completed their PADI IDC (Instructor Development Course) with Dive Friends Bonaire and Course Director Maike Vlassak from Divestar International! Everyone aced the IE (Instructor Examination) with 100% pass rate.

You may recognize a few familiar faces: Sanne, Melissa, and Ann-Marie have all worked at Dive Friends Bonaire as Divemasters and are eager to continue as instructors. Chris (Professor) completed his Divemaster Internship with us last year and is going to start a scuba diving program at the school where he teaches physics and robotics. Of course you all know Alex, manager of our Dive Inn location, who completed his IDC Staff Instructor and Carolyn, who assisted all candidates as an IDC Staff Instructor. Davy is a new face who had done all his training in the Netherlands up until the IDC and now has a new love for the warm clear waters of Bonaire.

Candidates spent two weeks in the classroom and in the water studying diving theory, practicing their demonstration and rescue skills, learning the PADI system of teaching, and perfecting their confined water, open water, and knowledge development presentations. Pizza and drinks at Yellow Sub was the perfect way to celebrate the hard work of all the candidates.
